Pitmedden Gardens Art Exhibition is now in its 19th year, and over the years we have supported local talent showcasing their work in our Old Stables. This year we are delighted to be exhibiting the artwork of two local artists Annie Grant and Catriona Yates. Our Art Exhibition will run from Saturday 28 March to Monday 2 November 2020.
In tune with the natural world, Annie Grant paints with a delicate botanical style capturing the translucency and luminosity of the local flora and fauna.
Annie has exhibited with the Aberdeen Artist Society, Dunkeld Cathedral, NEOS and several artisan fairs. Last year she painted an ‘Oor Wullie’ public art sculpture, raising over fourteen thousand pounds for the Aberdeen children's hospital charity The Archie Foundation. This year Annie is looking forward to painting in Pitmedden Gardens and will also be studying Botanical Illustration with the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh.
Working from her home studio in Aberdeen, Catriona creates her art using a combination of design, colour, and technique to produce vibrant and imaginative paintings.
Catriona studied at Aberdeen College and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design, and over the years has worked as a designer, production coordinator, and more recently a marketing coordinator. Catriona manly works in watercolour, ink and acrylic. Her inspiration comes from nature, wildlife and the beautiful Scottish landscape all around her.
