Each different musical programme celebrates the history of Riddle’s Court, with music mirroring the famous figures who have visited and resided over 500 years.

Clea Friend - Solo Cello
Clea will introduce and perform a programme of unaccompanied, beautiful cello music, including a suite in Bach and two pieces by contemporary Scottish composers.
About Artisan – Clea Friend and Aisling O’Dea.
Irish-born violinist Aisling O’Dea studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and then the Hans Eisler Hochschule fur Musik, Berlin. A keen chamber musician, Aisling was first a member of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra prior to her appointment to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She has performed with many different chamber ensembles in Germany and the UK, working with multiple collaborative arts. Aisling is actively involved with the SCO education department (SCOConnect).
Cellist Clea Friend studied music in Edinburgh before focusing on cello playing in Eastman School of Music, USA. Since graduating with a MSc in Music in the Community, she has worked on many rewarding projects with children and adults with additional needs. Clea combines a freelance playing career (including SCO, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal National Orchestra of Scotland) with teaching and community projects here and in the Balkans.
