Ayr Fort Players present Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders by Derek Webb. Agatha Crusty (pronounced Croosty) is a crime novelist who loves to get her teeth into real-life crimes. So, when her sister-in-law Alice invites her to spend a few days with her in the village of Chortelby, it's not long before she gets caught up in a series of murders which seem directed at members of the All Saints Village Hall committee. Plenty of suspects abound including Toby, the Vicar; Eleanor, Chair of the Committee; Harry Knott, the caretaker and identical twins Olivia and Oliver Truscott-Pratt. Add to the mix Harry Knott’s dim cousin PC Lockett and the totally incompetent investigating officer D.I Twigg and the laughs, as well as the murders, start to mount up! But don’t be fooled by the laughter – there is still a genuine murder mystery going on with an ingenious plot which will have you little grey cells working overtime.
