The infamous Braw Gigs Xmas-Party returns to the Banshee on 23rd December with some great local live guests and DJs from 9pm till late.
In keeping with tradition, we'll also have a master of ceremonies who will be bringing mid-set entertainment throughout this wondrous festive event, the o.g. Bad Santa herself, FK Alexander!
Our first live guest will be our good pal Canaan Balsam, who's "work revolves around the exploration of the dead space between ambient and new age music, the liminal zone between the harshness of industrial, and the beatific serenity of devotional music".
Lonely Carp merges industrial, noise and neo-classical elements into a visceral, elegiac whole, creating a performance-as-purge, exorcising the psychologically debilitating and releasing it in a tempest of ecstatic fury.
The one-man-project Feigur was started in 2007 by the French multi-instrumentalist and graphic designer Adrien Tibi as an attempt to express his own interpretation of the transition phenomena between death and what is beyond, its effect on memory, emotions, and spirituality. Originally taking the shape of a raw, distorted, cold yet atmospheric Black Metal entity, Feigur progressively and naturally shifted toward experimental, ritualistic and industrial electronic soundscapes.
Post gig DJ Sets from Benjamin Power (Blanck Mass), Sibs Roberts (Focus Skateboard store) and yours truly, Nick Herd. Sibs will be doing an all vinyl 90s JUNGLE set n'all. Lordhuvmercy!
