Buffet Lunch 'Perfect Hit!' Album Launch
BL were just done releasing For Display Purposes Only as a postcardy/booklet thing. They turned round and said they had grander plans for next year. They had another one in the can for already. So now they're going to launch it in Edinburgh up by the 1 clothes rail and the VHS section. It's happening May 3rd. W/
Buffet Lunch have been writing pleasingly imperfect pop songs since 2017. Comprised of musicians based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and (sometimes) Newcastle, the group craft ramshackle odysseys of observational charm. Always catchy, often profound. Buffet Lunch have been previously described as a band that create a hodgepodge of noises, and who are lyrically ridiculous. Both claims are strongly denied by the group.
Cod O'Donnell & Plastic Cowboy Builder will be duetting la Lee & Nancy, or Frank and Nancy. They will be joined by the PX4M Plastic Unlimited Orchestra for a special performance that joins the dots between swansong period Scott Walker, Bobby Digital by RZA and the broken Casio keyboard you found behind the pub bins and brought home for your kids 11th Christmas.
TiFF is an experimental electronic project helmed by Harry Volker (they/them) otherwise known from local dance-punk outfit Bikini Body. As TiFF, they explore the intersection of their queer identity with technology, futurism and transhumanism through dense textures influenced by industrial and noise music.
These prices go someway to paying the artists fairly. Especially touring artists working outside of mainstream music. But it doesn't always reflect the spending capability of the people who may appreciate the music the most, whether they are invested already or wanting to take a chance. If you cannot afford this please message PX4M direct and we can reserve a pay what you can ticket.
PX4M aims to keep running costs low-low-low or non-existent and all money goes directly to the artists whose music you enjoy.
Thanks to Settlement helping support this music by letting us put on world class artists by the second hand books.
