Pop Mutations presents...
Friday 12th November
Buffet Lunch are a band whose members are spread evenly across the holy trinity of Scottish Cities; Glasgow, Edinburgh & Dundee. Operating somewhere on the Chas 'n' Dave to Devo axis, delivering reasonably catchy, incomplete pop songs that have a way of appearing on the brink of collapse.

“Buffet Lunch explore the off-kilter axis of post-punk. Guitars dart in a deft, but perplexing slalom underpinned by clarinet & rubberized bass. Constrained chaos with a ringmaster’s evil eye gazing down on the ensuing orchestrations.”
Uncut Magazine (in Print)
"7/10 - Leftfield ideas and off-kilter lyrical narratives seemingly fashioned in fever dreams."

“Just when you think you have them nailed down, Buffet Lunch, throw in a surprise.”
“Buffet Lunch are just as infectious as their mealtime namesake.”
“With such an abundance of talent they can go anywhere from here… once everyone’s allowed to go out again.”

“The Power of Rocks features more of what we’ve come to love about the Edinburgh four-piece as a multitude of pleasingly nonsensical lyrics share space with an abundance of jangling and twanging guitars, punctured with off-kilter percussion … It’s a more than enjoyable and accomplished debut”
