The musical is based on the true story of Yorkshire’s own Calendar Girls – a group of ordinary WI members who achieved something extraordinary by discretely posing nude for a fundraising calendar while engaging in traditional WI activities. Their aim was to buy a new sofa for the hospital where the husband of one of the WI members was treated.
With unforgettable songs by Gary Barlow, each performance by a local cast will raise money for cancer charities and also prove that there is no such thing as an ordinary woman.
