John-James Chalmers, “JJ”, has a remarkable story to tell. He faced adversity and had to adapt his life in a way that he could never have anticipated. As a former Royal Marine Commando deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, JJ served on the frontline in Helmand Province and was wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) whilst on foot patrol.
Come and hear JJ’s inspiring talk about the significant challenges he faced, and how he has created a new direction in life, that saw him compete and win Gold in the Invictus Games, and forge a career in broadcasting with the BBC and Channel 4.
