After much fencing, stone clearing and rewalling, digging and ditching, each year another area has been completed to provide a bank of rhododendrons and azaleas, a rose garden, water feature with rockery, a pond with island, raised vegetable beds, and waterfalls and burns. This is a bee-friendly garden with active beehives. Maintained walking tracks in the fields and to viewpoints. The two hard winters of 2010/11 and 2011/12 destroyed many plants in their infancy; these are being replaced and added to constantly.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
