Charity Garden Opening - Bridge of Allan Gardens
Bridge of Allan is an attractive village north of Stirling with the River Allan flowing through it. There will be a selection of larger and smaller gardens on show, with various species of rhododendrons and azaleas, trees and shrubs, plants and flowers. Some of the gardens have water features, others have ‘rooms’, each with a different theme. Some gardens have a Japanese influence, others a variety of sculpture, one has quotations and poems engraved on stone, on a garden hut and bench, all with beautiful meaning. 'Second to the right and straight on till morning' - Peter Pan gives Wendy the directions to Neverland.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
