There are many unusual conifers including Wollemi Pine. There are also many different species of oak, birch, chestnut, acer, eucalyptus and many other varieties of hardwoods. The soil is peaty so the rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and magnolias are star turns. There are substantial collections of viburnums, hydrangeas, pieris and cornus. Around the lochans there are irises, hostas, skunk cabbage and gunnera. The owner has a passion for trees and shrubs.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
