The garden and policies surrounding Glenrinnes Lodge are typical of a Victorian Lodge. There is a semi-formal garden which lends itself to quiet reflection with stunning views up Glenrinnes. A walled kitchen garden with a large heated greenhouse both of which supply plants, cut flowers and fruit and vegetables. Here you will also find a newly developed herbaceous border displaying vibrant colours through the use of perennial and half hardy plantings. There are delightful walks in the meadow around the pond and into the woodland, watch out for red squirrels! Some major works have been undertaken recently and much of the garden is still a 'work in progress'. In keeping with the rest of the estate, Glenrinnes Lodge is gardened following organic principles.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
