Meandering paths guide the eye through predominantly herbaceous plantings, with small trees and shrubs. The garden opening will hopefully be timed for the peak bloom of some of the 400 iris in the garden. Some areas of the garden are currently undergoing a partial replant. The plant nursery Holmes Farm Plants is located at the garden where a wide selection of plants from the garden can be purchased along with a gift too.
Over half of the gardens are taking part to support open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
