Two semi-formal walled gardens adjoin the 18th century house and shelter long borders of herbaceous perennials, superb delphiniums, old fashioned roses and pavings with violas and dianthus. Spacious lawns, river and lochside walks beneath fine trees. There is a wide variety of shrubs with good autumn colour and an interesting picturesque turreted doocot and 'Gothick' wash house. Myriad spring bulbs include carpets of crocus following the massed snowdrops.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
