On the left towards the house there is extensive planting around a wildlife pond, and on the right some interesting wind-breaking planting which is maturing well. There is an excellent range of interesting shrubs and young trees throughout. Beyond the courtyard is a lawn, surrounded by well-established mixed borders enclosed on the north side by a beech hedge. To the rear of the house is a delightful sheltered garden with lawn and herbaceous beds full of plants and a path leading to a small young orchard with productive trees. Good all-year-round colour.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
