Charity Garden Opening - West Linton Village Gardens
A varied and interesting selection of gardens including two new ones: Bank House is an unusual and structured garden, designed over 30 years by a non-gardener (he was however, a 'spade monitor' at primary school). Another relatively new garden is built on a steep slope and includes raised beds with vegetables. Also included are a walled manse garden in a beautiful riverside setting and two gardening enthusiasts gardens in sheltered positions near the village centre. There is a decent woodland walk which is steep in places with steps, this area is left wild for nature.
This is a fundraising event for the open garden charity Scotland’s Gardens Scheme which raises money for hundreds of local charities.
