‘Des cloches et de l’eau’ is the evocative title of pianist Claire Haslin’s recital. She will certainly be playing this concert below the Carillon of Trinity Church, if not quite within earshot of the river Carron!
She will be playing works by Debussy, Rachmaninov, Ravel and Liszt.
Claire comes from Glasgow. She has performed in the Queens hall in Edinburgh, and the Purcell room in London; she has accompanied Ann Murray and works as an accompanist at Scottish Opera and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Claire is often to be found accompanying her husband, singer Phil Gault, but on this occasion, we will have the pleasure of hearing her playing a solo recital on the Classic Music Live! Falkirk Piano. This recital will be followed by lunch in the hall if regulations permit.
