All four members of the Agate quartet are from the South of France and met while they were studying in Paris. They all studied at the Hochschule für Musik Berlin and at that time they founded the Corsiclassic Music Festival in Corsica
They are Adrien Jurkovic – violin, Thomas Descamps – violin, Raphaël Pagnon – viola, Simon Lachemet – cello
In 2021 the Quatuor Agate were prize-winners at the Young Classical Artists Trust International Auditions.
