Clydebuilt Festival brings the River Clyde to life with colour, activity, and lots and lots of boats. The event includes Castle to Crane – Scotland’s biggest open water rowing race; an amazing opening night spectacle; and music, craft, art and activities all weekend.
2020 will be the event’s fourth year. The event will be significantly scaled up with more international participation, more community events and creations, and a whole new range of activities. On the water we will be once again running Castle to Crane, hoping to have more than 120 boats racing hard from Dumbarton Castle to the Finnieston Crane as well as offering all sorts of ways for people to Get Afloat in canoes and sailing boats.
On the shoreside you’ll find bars, music, craft demonstrations, artistic happenings and lots more to amuse and surprise you. We’ll have storytelling and roving sea shanty singers, community dance troupes and traditional boat builders. It’s big, colourful and totally free!
