This brand new exhibition has been brought to you by the National Mining Museum Scotland’s Youth Panel!
Entry is free and the exhibition is open 10am to 5pm every day.
The exhibition highlights youth culture throughout Scotland’s mining communities through the Museum’s photography collection. Starting in 1947 the exhibition explores the decades up to the 1984-5 strike and features rarely before seen photographs of gala days, sporting pursuits, mining apprenticeships and youth involvement in the Strike.
Opened on the 3rd July by Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.
