ColumbaFest returns for a third time to Glasgow on 7-9th June 2019. It is the flagship urban festival of weeWONDERBOX, the events programme of the Iona Community and the Wild Goose Resource Group.
This year’s theme - ‘Wandering + Wondering‘ - invites us to consider the physical, spiritual and emotional journeys, voyages and pilgrimages we go on in life as we wrestle with faith, politics and art today.
Inspired by the life of St Columba, current global events and a sense of adventure, ColumbaFest offers a diverse programme of talks, workshops, walks, music, art, creativity, discussion and worship.
St Columba is the holy man who came from Ireland to settle on the island of Iona, and in time, established the religious settlement there. He christianised Scotland; and the mission work of his followers spread out from there to reach parts of central and southern Europe.
