Join us for a screening of 'Connecting Stories' (add link), a short
film about the challenges and unexpected positives of welcoming a baby
during a global pandemic. Afterwards participate in a talk and Q&A
with artists and participants. All ages welcome.
In the second half, participate in a Storytelling for Early Years
Workshop, for artists, practitioners and those interested in learning
about skills and the benefits of exploring storytelling with early
years children in a post lockdown world. This workshop will be
inclusive to adults who bring their children.
This workshop is jointly led by Starcatchers, Scotland’s Arts and
Early years organisation. For 15 years they have offered inspirational
creative arts experiences for the youngest children aged from birth to
5 years and the grown-ups who care for them. Alongside a range of
beautiful productions and immersive community work, Starcatchers’
professional development and training programme, Creative Skills,
focuses on empowering early years professionals to tap into and
implement creativity in their own settings, ensuring the best
developmental outcomes for every child. Discover more at
www.starcatchers.org.uk.
If you hold a full festival pass, you may attend this workshop without
additional charge, but you YOU MUST book a ticket as places are
extremely limited. Parents who wish to attend are welcome to bring
their child(ren) though please book a ticket at no extra cost.
Sessions will be relaxed to accommodate children's attendance
