Fashions change but real style never fades. As part of the Craigmillar Festival we invite you to walk in the footprints of time at Craigmillar Castle. Our living history performers will be on hand to answer any questions as they talk you through this spectacular display of clothing and uniform spanning over 500 years. There will also be musical performances by musicians from The Scottish Chamber Orchestra and The Robin Chapel Choir throughout the weekend.
The weekend will be free for walk-up visitors with EH16 postcodes, proof of address will need to be provided.
Parking is very limited at the castle and spaces are on a first come first served basis. We recommend to arrive via public transport or on foot where possible to help alleviate issues. Alternatively, there are good public transport links to nearby Old Dalkeith Road (Edinburgh Royal Infirmary) or Peffermill Road. There is some alternative on-street parking on Castlebrae Avenue and on the lane to the Recylcling centre off Dalkeith Road.
Musicians from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra will be performing around Craigmillar Castle from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday 1 July. The Robin Chapel Choir will be at the castle at 2pm on Sunday 2 July.
