Joyously colourful and uncompromisingly ornate, Cressida Bell’s cake designs echo the hallmarks of her Bloomsbury Group heritage. Daughter of Quentin Bell and Granddaughter of Vanessa Bell, Cressida continues this artistic lineage with her entirely edible works of art. Cressida also hosts a number of workshops, instructing on cake design from the drawing and transfer to the decoration itself.
Her first date in Scotland, Jupiter Artland is lucky enough to be hosting the wonderful Cressida in a Cake Decoration Workshop on 12 July.
Learn how to create your pattern using a huge variety of edible embellishments, suitable for all levels of cake decorating ability, no experience necessary. Feel free to bring your own sources of inspiration e.g. colour, theme, painting, book.
The day will start with a workshop introduction at 10.30am accompanied by refreshments and snacks which will be available throughout the day. A light lunch will be provided at around 1pm. The course will finish by around 5pm, though this is flexible and will depend on how long each cake takes to decorate.
