In this upcycling workshop you will learn how to turn unwanted t-shirts into funky crochet coasters! Don't worry if you're a total crochet novice, and don't know one end of the hook from the other - this is the perfect project for beginners.
On average, consumers throw away 60% of their clothes in the first year of owning them, and in 2020 an estimated 18.6 million tonnes of clothing ended up in a landfill. Shopping second hand and mending clothes go a long way to helping stop this, but there comes a point where clothes are quite old and tatty. It's at this point where we need to be creative!
Upcycling clothes into yarn opens loads of doors for giving those items a new life! And it's fun.
