Musician, songwriter, and vocal coach Debra Salem has joined forces with local historian and singer Nicky Small to offer this unique series of workshops. Singing Perthshire will take you through weekly practical and informative singing sessions. These sessions are about exploring songs through their history, their individual song styles, and thinking about how songs have been collected, arranged, and performed over time.
Not only will you sing, but you will gain insight into the collections held in the AK Bell Library and understand historical song collecting, storytelling through songs in the oral tradition, and busting a few musical myths!
