The violinist, singer and composer Julie Alapnes blends harmonically traditional Norwegian folk music with elements from a wide and diverse musical universe. The beautiful melodies thrive in this cinematic landscape, where Julie's characteristic fiddle and the harmonium form an important foundation. You can tell her apart from others due to her strong signature as an instrumentalist. She is well known for her presence on stage, where she delivers beautiful compositions while carrying on the tradition of folk music from the North of Norway.
Julie's band consists of Petter Carlsen on Baryton guitar, Halvard Rundberg on foot pumped harmonium and guitars, and Aleksander Kostopoulos behind the drums, and their second release Helleristning was nominated for the Norwegian Grammys in 2022.
