Under 2s are free but will not be entitled to a seat. Please be aware that every seat in your carriage could be sold out so we appreciate your co-operation with this.
Where do the main event activities take place?
The event is based at Bo'ness Station & the Museum of Scottish Railways
Can I stay all day?
Yes, activities are available to visitors from 09:30 until 16:30. Remember that you must be ready to board your Thomas ride at Bo'ness Station platform at least 15 minutes before your pre-booked time slot (this is printed on your e-ticket).
How early should I arrive?
Your ticket allows you access to all event activities (based at Bo'ness Station) for the whole day from 09:30 to 16:30 but you must be at the platform ready to board your ride behind Thomas 15 minutes before your pre-booked time slot (printed on your e-ticket).
Please allow at least three hours for your visit and aim to arrive at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway an hour before your train time to allow for parking, ticket checking and getting to the platform (if you're booked on the 10:00 train, 30-45 minutes is sufficient). If you've booked tickets in the afternoon, it's advisable to arrive earlier and enjoy the activities at Bo'ness before taking your train ride as some entertainment areas may be closed when the 15.15 train gets back to Bo'ness.
What's the difference between Standard Seats and Private Compartments?
Standard Seats are arranged in 4s, usually with a table in the middle. They are in carriages that you will share with other visitors.
Private Compartments are separate areas of the train that can seat up to 6 people. These are sold as one ticket and are ideal for large groups.
