In this one-day workshop, participants will explore the process behind making their own repeat patterns, taking inspiration from some of Mackintosh’s own celebrated textile designs dating from the late 1910’s early 1920s. Here you will learn how to overlay and tessellate simple motifs to build up your own elaborate, interlocking composition. An exploration into colour and form, this class is also suitable for those with little or no previous drawing experience. Participants will leave the class with their own large scale, high quality, original painted design, suitable for digital transferal into print on either wallpaper or textile pieces for the home.
