The FREE Diverse CiTay Festival is Perth’s signature event as part of YOYP2018 and will present an exciting mix of music, theatre, art, culture, sport, health and wellbeing as well as highlighting young entrepreneurs between 12.30pm and 10pm at various locations around the city centre. Diverse CiTay has been co-produced by local young people with support from local bodies and organisations. Kicking off the day at 12.30pm, a carnival parade with a colourful, vibrant display of floats, vehicles, dance troupes and bands will head from the South Inch along Tay Street to the North Inch, where the North Inch Carnival will run from 1pm to 4.30pm, with a vibra...nt mix of performers, entertainment and activities.
Our amazing music stage will be hosted by Ministry of Sound and will include some amazing performances from special guests Jack Maynard, The House & Garage Orchestra, Karen Harding and Be Charlotte and Mikey!
The Two Inch Carnival - the shortest carnival in the world - features floats designed around the theme of diversity, all of which are being developed by our young makers and creatives. The carnival also offers street performances, including Indian dance groups, Samba, pipes and drums, and other music and arts forms. There will also be plenty of exciting entertainment including a Funfair, Inflatables, Bike stunt team, Bushcraft, Meditation – and much more!
Visitors can also browse our young entrepreneurs' market to buy from the next generation of budding business people, or take some time out to spend in the Health and Wellbeing Village hosted by Perth College UHI.
