Mhairi Lawson, Soprano and Jan Waterfield, Harpsichord
A programme of songs and arias from the publications of Domenico Corri – an Italian Maestro, publisher, singer, impresario and opera composer of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, who worked for the Edinburgh Musical Society from 1771 to 1789. In addition to Corri’s own compositions the duo will perform extracts from his operatic editions of Handel, Gluck and Mozart as well as Corri’s arrangements of Scots songs.
