This recital features new music written by Adam and UK bassist, Mr. David Heyes. The work is a based upon the Ordinary Mass, written by Dr. Booker for the jazz idiom, and juxtaposes Mr. Heyes’ new work, Seven Last Words From the Cross for unaccompanied bass. The blending of both jazz and classical styles in this program highlights the immense capabilities of modern double bass techniques, and will be released as a studio album later this year.
