Dundee Design Festival is a seven day celebration of design hosted by the UK’s only UNESCO City of Design - Dundee. Explore local, national and international design, through a city wide programme of events, exhibitions, films, talks, tours and workshops.
The 2018 Dundee Design Festival will feature a specially developed programme co-created by Young People to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Young People and the role young people play in design.
Highlight events include the Dundee Design Daunder - a spectacular, multi-arts parade inspired by our fellow design cities across the world a made by local young people, designers and artists as it snakes across the city in a riot of colour, sound and design.
Revisit last year’s theme with an exhibition of Factory x Designer, showcasing the work made as a result of our Factory Floor residency programme.
See the world around us through other people’s perspective as we present Dundee’s first Pecha Kucha Night Takeover. A fast paced evening with a range of diverse speakers, this May PKN Dundee will be programmed by Young People.
Following a Co-Design approach, young people are a driving force in shaping, developing and implementing all events for the Year of Young People 2018.
