An exhibition of photography, paintings and ceramics inspired by the walks of The Early Ooters. The Early Oooters walking group was founded in 2005 when six newly retired men got together for a walk in the Scottish countryside. Since then they have walked in many places in Scotland but predominantly in the South-West. These outings have inspired the work of Catrine based artist, Peter Kleboe and Cumnock photographer, Jim Johnstone. This exhibition includes paintings and other works by Peter and photographs by Jim based on the Early Ooters walks in Scotland’s South-West. The exhibition celebrates the beauty of the natural environment but also responds to the influence humans have had on this environment, in the mysterious traces which remain of its industrial past.
