A walking tour dedicated to one of Edinburgh's most iconic landmarks, Calton Hill - a small hill with a lot of history!
This two-hour tour reveals Calton Hill as a place of contrasts - from education and incarceration to celebration and persecution to grand town-houses and dingy backstreet tenements.
Stroll around the wider Calton Hill area and discover how, over the last 500 years, this once isolated and insignificant hill became the famous central landmark it is today. Along the way we'll consider Calton Hill's key buildings, how its spaces have been used over the years and the many different people who have called this hill home.
Pre-booking required. Super-small group walking tour, given in English and recommended for ages 16+. Covid procedures in place, details can be found on our website. (No tours from 12th-30th July)
