The Slideshow Trombone Quartet are a Glasgow-based ensemble founded in 2018 by a group of friends while attending the Junior Conservatoire, since progressing together to the BMus degree course at the Royal Conservatoire Scotland (RCS). They play a wide range of music including Renaissance music from the 1800s, the wider Classical repertoire, right through to modern day favourites. Alongside playing tenor and bass trombone, the group also perform on alto trombone, jazz bore trombones and euphoniums, which they enjoy incorporating into their quartet performances.
The quartet are often featured in concerts at the RCS and various Glasgow venues, but musical outreach is something they are deeply interested in with members having benefited from various outreach and charitable organisations over the course of their musical journey. They hope to pay it forward as they join Live Music Now Scotland 2023!
