Evolve18 is a celebration of the youth of Inverclyde, and their creative contributions to Inverclyde's past, present, and future.
Youth programmers will develop, design, curate and contribute to the festival programme and delivery. The event has something for the whole family and showcases a multitude of art-forms including exhibitions, drama, dance, film and media content, crafts, upcycling and live music. The event will also feature on site activities such as arts and crafts stalls, pop up workshops, information stalls to promote local activities and groups, as well as food and drink stalls.
The spectacle is extended to the Clyde with boats chartered from Ocean Youth Trust lit up, sailing close to the shore and being moored at the close by James Watt Dock for the public to board. The series of youth led performances and community engagement will culminate in a waterfront fireworks spectacular showcasing Inverclyde's unique geographical position on the banks of the Clyde.
