They received the Tunnell Trust Award in 2014/15 and were Park Lane Group Artists for the2016 season. The ensemble has also been appointed as a St. Johns Smith Square Young Artist 2016-2017;during their year on the scheme the Young Artist programme will involve the quartet in a number of projectsfocussing on marketing, commissioning and outreach work in addition to their series of concerts.Commissioning new music is an important strand of Ferios work. As Park Lane Group Artists, they recentlygave the world premiere of a work by Laura Bowler which they subsequently performed at Wigmore Hall.They also work closely with composer Guillermo Lago and have commissioned him to write a new work forthe quartet. The composition, inspired by three of William Wordsworths poems, receives its premiereperformance at St. Johns Smith Square, London, in April 2017.Ferio has signed with Chandos Records to record their debut commercial CD. The disc will be out on generalrelease in July 2017.
