Who is Petunia LittleTree? And what about her relationship with baby tree, Sally Semper Sprout, is so unnerving? Finding Petunia LittleTree, by Sharon Took-Zozaya, is a humorous, yet bittersweet, solo physical theatre and dance work. Her original script and video combined with Quee MacArthur's sound design reveal Petunia's quirky, inconsistent emotional responses to the climate emergency with warmth and compassion. Petunia's contradictory reactions to the climate crisis vary from comical to deeply moving as she explores communication among trees, relationships with plastic rubbish, a baby tree's personal history of fire and deforestation, and humans' interdependence with the natural world. Telling part of our collective story, she asks "How can we live with what we know, with humour, dark undertones and all?"
