An afternoon of footballing nostalgia is on the cards as author and lifelong Middlesbrough FC fan Daniel Gray takes us on a walk down memory lane, reminiscing about all that is golden about the 'Beautiful Game.' This event is being run in conjunction with charity Nil by Mouth, Irvine Meadow FC and the local Football Memories project, which uses the sport to support people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory-related conditions, as well as their families and carers. Daniel will read from his books Black Boots & Football Pinks and Saturday, 3pm, drawing on memories of the game down the decades. In addition to reading from his work, Daniel will lead a discussion on guests' favourite memories of players, matches, goals and songs that have bookmarked so many lives in Scotland. This event is open to football fans with Alzheimer's disease, dementia or other memory-related conditions, and their families, friends and carers.
