IMP are delighted to welcome back some of our very favourite artists for a wonderful eclectic electronic music event.
Sat 3rd November 2018
Advance tix £9.50
Free Love (Night School /Optimo)
Free Love is the latest manifestation of Scottish duo Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook (FKA Happy Meals) a continuation and progression of their utopian dance pop experiments released on Night School Records and Optimo which have seen them nominated for Scottish Album of the Year and performing across the globe. Touring across Europe supporting Liars and The Flaming Lips, and with festival shows as far as Austin, Moscow and Bangalore, the band have become notorious for their sensual live ceremonies. Using a table of all-hardware electronics, Free Love harness a charismatic chaos and unpredictable energy that sets them apart as one of the most exciting artists of 2018. Expect a set containing everything from Euro/Ital Beat through to Techno, everything between and well beyond. Live they are MAGNICENT and each set is a spontaneous reaction to the their audience. We were completely blown away by their set at Hidden Door Festival May 2018
Apostille (Night School/Upset The Rhythm)
Apostille on record & playing live is something quite special, a must see for his genuinely eccentric brilliance. June 8th has seen a release of his new LP 'Choose Life' through the Upset The Rhythm, which is like your perfect all rolled into one band
Autumn Hang (Spooky Kermit)
Autumn Hang's home made techno pop, electronica, post-rock ambient noise and trip hop sounds made with lo-fi lo-budget kit under the neon lights of new Aberdeen, releasing self-underproduced tracks on the Spooky Kermit label. Over the years tunes have been played on the radio by John Peel and Rob Da Bank and CDR releases have graced the pages of Wire magazine.
