This is a free day for anyone who wishes to join in, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never been to a Bioblitz before or if you’ve been to 100, all we require is enthusiasm. Families can attend activities at Garrison House, Kames Bay, Pottery Bay and FSC Millport, at each stage in the trail there will be a different environment to explore with expertly led sessions to discover what animals and plants live there.
Or if you are a keen amateur recorder you can complete your own biological surveys with support from experts in the field to add to the overall tally counts. As you complete the trail and arrive at FSC Millport you can add to our tally of species found across the bay and see what else has been discovered.
There will also be the chance to complete Beach Cleans. With so much waiting to be discovered why not join in with FSC Millport’s Bioblitz and explore the coasts and waters around the Isle of Cumbrae.
