A welcome return for this workshop from last year’s sellout, Ainsley Hamill will teach you how to sing a tune set in one of the most intricate styles of Gaelic song with this puirt-à-beul workshop. This workshop is for all; participants don’t need to speak Gaelic to attend, just a voice and a willingness to learn!
This event will take place in the Exhibition Hall of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
All songs will be taught by ear, no need to read music. Sunday 5th will finish with a big sing for all participants after the last workshop, between 3.30-4pm, in the Green Room, then a mass group sing on the main staircase. Workshops £10 each.
Suitable for adults and children over 12, unless otherwise stated.
The Celtic Connections programme of workshops is designed to inspire people of all ability levels to get involved in traditional music. Please book early to avoid disappointment, as numbers are limited.
