GLASGOW CODE LEARNING: SUMMER SCHOOL is back! Our short courses will introduce you to key topics included in our Developer and Pro courses. Try our summer courses if you have no skills or experience in digital; or if you would like a taster of our courses before committing to our 9-week or 12-week courses. Choose from:
PYTHON
This week-long course will introduce students to Python – a viable, accessible multipurpose programming language used by those from all levels in ICT, such as corporate software engineers and casual coders.
You will learn these core skills:
Think algorithmically - how to analyse a problem and translate it for a computer to process Design, develop, and improve multi-module computer programs Analyse and model real-life problems in Object-Oriented Programming categories Understand a programmer's work in the software development process Learn how a program is executed in a computer environment Gain skills to create and develop your own programming portfolio
_Students will attend classes Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm at Glasgow Clyde’s Langside Campus. Classes will start the week beginning 17th July._
CYBER
Discover the vital technologies, processes and practices used to protect computers from hacking, damage, or attack.
You will learn these core skills:
Learn what cyber security is and its potential to impact to you Understand the most common threats, attacks and vulnerabilities Gain insights for how businesses protect their operations from attacks Find the latest job trends and why cyber security continues to grow
_This 21-hour course will be delivered across three days online and will start on the 18th - 20th July. _
