Most people are familiar with Walt Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”, but local playwright Ron Nicol has gone back to the original eighteenth century folk tale for his version of the much-loved story. Belle’s father takes a rose from a castle garden as a present for his daughter, but the castle belongs to an ugly Beast who demands a life in exchange for the rose. Belle goes back to the castle in place of her father. What happens to her? Come along to the Rothes Halls and find out. Cheer the heroine. Boo the villains. Glenrothes Theatre Company have been putting on pantomimes for 45 years, and plenty of laughter is promised in this fun-filled family show.
