Live Music Now Scotland is teaming up with Edinburgh City Libraries Music Library for an evening of Scottish, Irish, English and American songs and tunes performed by Hannah Rarity and Luc McNally. Hannah and Luc are a song and guitar duo hailing from West Lothian and County Durham respectively.
The pair met whilst studying music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and collaborated on various projects during their time there.
Hannah tours worldwide with the renowned international Irish trad. group 'Cherish the Ladies' and has studied and taught traditional and contemporary song in both Ireland and Scotland. She has recently released her debut EP, which features some of Scotland's finest young instrumentalists.
Luc performs with Scottish folk fusion bands 'Dosca' and 'Sketch', in a pipes and Northumbrian song duo 'Eddie and Luc', and in a new contemporary/traditional string trio 'Snuffbox'.
Live Music Now was founded in 1977 by Yehudi Menuhin, and Live Music Now Scotland was formed in 1984. It is a unique organisation which has kept Menuhin's vision alive in ensuring that all members of society, whatever their circumstances, have access to the enriching experience of live music.
