Henry Jabbour's paintings are colourful, surprising, moving. They are memories, emotions, moments of experience. Trained at the rigorous New York Academy of Art, he paints the human figure, but paints intuitively, looking for what is beyond appearance. This exhibition of new paintings, etchings and sculptures at the time of the Edinburgh Art Festival is his largest and most important solo show to date. Ten years ago, Henry worked in Edinburgh as a senior research scientist. Now he is back as an artist on the verge of great things. This is not to be missed.
