The deadly duo make a much anticipated return to Berits & Brown to celebrate the release of their new album 'Six of One and Half a Dozen of the Other'. The guys will be playing stuff from both their solo albums as well as some classics from Henry's former bands, the chart toppers The Christians and new wave punk heroes The Yachts (who have just released a much anticipated box set).
The duo have been criss crossing Britain together bringing their brilliant and ramshackle act to many venues and living rooms over the last few years. After spending so much time playing together, it is only fitting that they finally collaborate on an album, the record does what it says on tin, you get six songs by Henry and six by Les, one song by Henry followed by one by Les. Recorded at Henry's studio, always tuneful and arranged with taste, the tracks are carefully crafted vignettes where both our hosts' songwriting chops shine.
As the man behind the chart topping hits for the band The Christians, Henry knows how to craft the perfect pop song, he also knows how to put on a show. A show with Hen & Les is a sight to behold. Fantastic songs mixed with hilarious banter and a sprinkling of audience participation is what makes these guys special. This is their 6th visit to Berits & Brown, so if you have not seen them before, come along and find out what all the fuss is about.
Support for the night comes from the fantastic Louise Connell who has been gaining 5 star reviews and national radio play. Previously performing under the name Revereime, Louise is one of the hottest talents in Scotland at the moment.
