This year's Hogmanay Ceilidh Dance in Ullapool Village Hall is being run by Ullapool Book Festival to raise funds towards the 2023 festival. Playing will be Drams Ceilidh Band - they will also call the dances for those who dont know how to do them. The musicians in Drams are - David Shedden (pipes) - a finalist in BBC Scotland Young Musician of the Year in 2018 and a member of the band Assynt; Adam Brown (guitar) - member of leading Scottish bands Rura and Imar; Mhairi MacKinnon (fiddle) - a finalist on the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year in 2020; Rory Grindlay (drums) - the exciting young percussionist from Skipinnish.
There will be a licenced bar (no carry-outs!). Doors open at 8.30pm; bar and dance from 9pm to 12.30am
Tickets - Adult £15; secondary school students £10; primary school age and under £5.
NO unaccompanied under 18s. ID required for under 25s
