"One of the most inventive, quirky and downright grin-inducing albums this reviewer has heard in years” ★★★★★ ( RnR Magazine on I Like Your Taste In Music)
The Madeleine Stewart Trio play a range of traditional music including new compositions and old traditional tunes. They are fronted by Madeleine Stewart on fiddle. Her playing is rooted in the contra dance music of New England and moulded in the melting pot of traditional music in Glasgow. Madeleine is backed by Rory Matheson on piano and Craig Baxter on bodhrán. With Rory’s jazz, blues and dance band influences and Craig’s driving bodhran, they create a huge sound that belies their small line-up. Having performed at the Scots Fiddle Festival and toured New England, they are now excited to launch their self-titled debut album.
